Each year F.O.R. Maricopa participates at the Kids Day Maricopa event by providing a booth featuring the services we offer. In addition, we hand out free popcorn and cotton candy, and provide face painting for the kids. We are looking for energetic volunteers to help at the booth.

September 21th, 2024 from 10 am to 4pm at Maricopa Wells Middle School - Kids Day Maricopa provides essential information on health, crime prevention, child safety, and environmental awareness. The Maricopa Police Department will be bringing Police cars, Police motorcycles, K-9 Dog's, SWAT and CRT Unit. Special appearances by "Smokey Bear", "Heroes United" and other loved characters. The Phoenix Mercury and The Phoenix Sun's Street Team will be bringing fun and prizes. The Pinal County Sheriff's Dept. will have their Helicopter and Rescue Division. The Maricopa Fire Department is bringing a fire truck and teaching fire safety. Copper Sky will be teaching internet safety with E/Sports and The City of Maricopa will have there Big Rigs present. There will be Bicycle safety, Drug Awareness with Be Awesome Coalition. Healthy Eating and Exercise will be taught with Zuwa Family Care, Southwest Pediatrics, Sunlife Health. Vision/Hearing screening with the Maricopa Lions. Learn Gun Safety with Minuteman Supply. Learn how to grow your own garden with Ace Hardware, U of A, and MAC. Water education and conservation is taught by Global Water with Electrical District 3 teaching electrical safety. There will be a safety and fitness demo from Desert Tigers Martial Arts, D.S.P.A. Dance and Polynesian Dance. More activities such as the First Tee, 4H Petting zoo and so much more.
